Privacy

Giftboard helps groups plan a celebration and a gift together. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Giftboard is run by LEVITU SRL. Questions: hello@zace.ro.

What we collect

• Organizers: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo.
• Guests: the name you type and, only if you choose to add it, your email. Guests don't create an account. We keep an anonymous session on your device so you stay signed in to the event.
• Event content: what people add to an event: gift ideas, links, votes, comments, wishlists, RSVPs, expenses, and who said they paid.
• Payment details you choose to share: organizers can list a payment handle (for example a Venmo or Revolut username, a phone number for bank transfers, or an IBAN) so guests know where to send money. We never process payments, never see card details, and never hold money.
• Usage data: basic, aggregated statistics about how pages are used, and error reports when something breaks, so we can fix it.

Who can see what

• Only people in an event can see it. Access is by invite link or personal link, so share links carefully.
• In surprise mode, the guest of honor can't see the event. In wishlist mode they see their wishes, not who paid or reserved.
• In Secret Santa, nobody can see the pairs, including the organizer. Each person only sees their own match.
• Guest emails and personal links are visible only to organizers.

Why we use it

To run the service you asked for (performance of a contract), to keep it secure and working (legitimate interest), and to send the sign-in links and reminders you expect. We don't sell personal data and we don't use it for advertising.

Gift ideas and AI

When you ask for gift ideas, the details you type (age range, interests, budget, notes) and, in Secret Santa, your match's wishlist are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate suggestions. Don't include sensitive information you wouldn't want processed this way.

Store links

Some links to stores may be affiliate links. If you buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The store you visit has its own privacy policy.

Service providers

We rely on a few providers to run Giftboard: Supabase (database and sign-in, EU/US), Vercel (hosting), Resend (emails), Google (if you choose Google sign-in) and Anthropic (gift ideas). They process data only on our behalf.

How long we keep it

Events stay until an organizer deletes them. Deleting an event removes its gift ideas, votes, comments, payments records and guest list. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.

Your rights

If you're in the EU, UK or a similar jurisdiction, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@zace.ro and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Giftboard is for adults organizing events. It isn't meant for children under 16 to use on their own.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where it matters, tell organizers by email.
